WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF THIS PROJECT?

Our goal, and our promise to Ian, is to fulfill his dream and make the best pilot episode we can! This will also give our creators an opportunity to create a piece of art for children.

Our creators will have something unique and special in their resumes to help in their portfolio.

Cappy Studios has been able to continue to this point because of the amazing dedication of our volunteer creators and industry advisors. We also had a successful IndieGoGo memorial fundraiser, that raised $3500. THANK YOU!!! That, combined with what Ian had diligently saved toward achieving his personal and professional goals, was sufficient to fund the start-up legal and accounting costs to establish Capy Studios as a business, protect our intellectual property, obtain insurance, and buy basic supplies and equipment.

We have also established exciting collaborations with the CA Regional Centers and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). We are almost entirely staffed by volunteers, however, we now have three people who are able to be paid through the Regional Center’s Paid Internship Program (PIP) or the DOR’s Work Experience program (WE). We expect to significantly ramp-up those programs and potentially provide dozens of similar opportunities.

An opportunity to keep working on Marty’s Place would be a dream come true for many of us here. If we did have that opportunity, we would focus on quality, and enrich our stories to be enjoyed at all ages but aimed towards the 4-8 age range. We would bring-on more volunteers and interns and dive into writing more episodes, as well as learning how to fully fund, produce, market and distribute a full series.

If you have expertise that you can share in any of these areas and/or you might be interested in investing in Capy Studios, please contact Seth at Capystudios@gmail.com.

To be able to make the pilot is already a huge step forward for many of us. First step for anybody is to first of all CREATE and to be able to do that is something that none of us will forget.
